Who I Am
I am a 45013 based photographer. I am willing to travel so dont hesitate to ask. Professionally I re-opened my photography business about 2 years ago after being a social worker for 10+ years & am so excited to be as successful as I have been shooting full time! I have a number of years of experience shooting creative photo-journalistic style portraits, life scenes, weddings, creative imagery, individuals, children etc... I also used to model randomly while in college so I know what its like being in front of the camera. I shoot a lot of charity & social events & am very good with low lighting and club style/Dj light set ups. I enjoy both on location & studio shoots because both can be challenging & creative. I am kind, creative, extremely patient, very fair & reasonable. My equipment is all professional grade; Nikon DSLR & lenses, professional studio lights etc... All is portable and usually its just me and my camera.
Personally I wear several hats that i feel help me succeed as a photographer and small business owner. I am a single mother of three wonderful daughters, ages 17, 8 and 5. I work prn as a In-Home mentor for children and families in crisis. I teach at the University of Cincinnati Police Academy instructing recruits on crisis management techniques, how to positively interact without resorting to physical interventions in stressful & intensive situations with individual with mental health and disabilities. I also use my free time to volunteer as vice president of the board of directors for a wonderful organization called Mommy Has Breast Cancer (www.mommyhsabreastcancer.org). I am currently helping to develop a specialized charter school for at risk kids where I am the Director of Social Services. For fun I am a Zumba instructor and teach regular Zumba, Zumba Gold and Aqua Zumba. I am nationally certified in group exercise through American Aerobics Fitness Assoc. & I am a Silver Sneakers instructor.
